More details about the pricing and release dates for upcoming "Mortal Kombat X" downloadable content (DLC) packs have just been announced by WB Games.

According to WB Games, the new DLC pack for the game, known as "Kombat Pack 2," will be available for $19.99. That price represents a $10 drop-off from how much the first "Kombat Pack" costs, according to GameSpot.

"Kombat Pack 2" will add four new characters to the game, with those being Bo' Rai Cho, Tri-Borg, Leatherface from the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" franchise, and "Alien's" Xenomorph.

For those who may have missed out on getting the first "Kombat Pack" and are also looking to get the newly released DLC, they can opt to purchase the "XL Pack." The "XL Pack" will include both of the DLC packs for "Mortal Kombat X," and it will be available for $24.99.

Lastly, players who may have held off on buying "Mortal Kombat X" altogether but who want to try it out now can get "Mortal Kombat XL."

"Mortal Kombat XL" simply includes the base game as well as both "Kombat Packs." "Mortal Kombat X" will be available for $59.99.

The new edition of "Mortal Kombat X" as well as both DLC packs will be launched on March 1 in the United States.

Interestingly enough, all of the new DLC packs and even the more complete version of "Mortal Kombat X" will only be made available to the PlayStation 4 (PS4) and the Xbox One.

It's unclear exactly why the game's developers have decided not to release the new content for personal computer (PC) as well, although it's likely not a good sign for players who prefer that platform.

According to Destructoid, if the upcoming content will not be coming to the PC version of "Mortal Kombat X," then it would be logical to assume that additional items introduced to the game in the future will similarly be absent from the platform.

For what it's worth, the game's developers and publishers have yet to confirm that new content for "Mortal Kombat X" will no longer be added to its PC port, although the outlook does not appear to be promising.
