A number of DLCs and expansion packs have already made their way to one of this year's biggest releases, the most recent installment of the long-running "Mortal Kombat" franchise. Since its release, "Mortal Kombat X" has already had at least 15 DLCs, with the most recent one adding Tremor to the list of Kombatants. However, it seems developer NetherRealm Studios will continue to provide fresh, new content to the fighting game.

While showcasing Tremor during their livestream presentation, NetherRealm Studios may have inadvertently revealed that there will be more Kombatant additions in the future. According to game site IGN, the end of the presentation viewed Tremor as the last character to be added under "Kombat Pack 1."

The presentation was not the first time that NetherRealm Studios teased about possible add-ons to the game. Last June, Ed Boon, one of the co-creators of the franchise, mentioned an upcoming Kombat Pack with a roster of new characters, tweeting it with a hashtag, "#IfTheIsAKombatPack2."

How the developers would select which characters to make up the list for succeeding Kombat Packs is still up for debate. NetherRealm Studios may already have a number of characters ready for fighting from the "Mortal Kombat X" roster of non-playable characters, such as Rain. There is also a possibility that the next set of characters will again come from outside the "Mortal Kombat" franchise, similar to what was done with the first Kombat Pack. The first set of DLCs for the game introduced Jason Vorhees, Tanya, The Predator, and Tremor as playable fighters.

As for when NetherRealm plans to add these new characters to the roster, dates are still uncertain. However, since there will be a host of other fighting games that would be released soon, NetherRealm Studios would have to prepare to again expand "Mortal Kombat X" to keep players interested.
