Moto Droid Turbo vs Galaxy Note 4 specs: Which new device stands out in the smartphone market today?

Finally, Verizon Wireless unveiled on Oct. 28 the latest device under its Droid product line: the Moto Droid Turbo.

This is Verizon's entry to the steep smartphone contest, which is widely dominated by Android and iOS devices in the market.  Verizon guarantees that the new Moto Droid Turbo is better than all the leading smartphones nowadays.

But how would it rate against Samsung's recently released Galaxy Note 4?  Take a look at the comparison between Verizon's Moto Droid Turbo and Samsung Galaxy Note 4:

Display and Screen

The Moto Droid Turbo comes with a 5.2-inch AMOLED screen with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution and 565 pixel density. It has a dimension of 5.65 x 2.89 x 0.44 inches (143.5 x 73.3 x 11.2 mm) and weighs 6.21 ounces. Alternatively, the Galaxy Note 4 is offered with 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution and 515 pixel density. It has a bigger dimension compared to the Droid Turbo, which is 6.04 x 3.09 x 0.33 inches (153.5 x 78.6 x 8.5 mm), though they both have the same weight.

Under the hood

Both phones run using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 with a 2.7 GHz system chip, but the Droid Turbo has a quad-core 2700 MHz Krait 450 processor, while the Galaxy Note 4 has an 8-core 1900 MHz ARM Cortex-A57 and ARM Cortex-A53. Also, both smartphones have a 3 GB RAM but the Droid Turbo has a built-in storage of 64 GB while the Galaxy Note 4 comes with a built-in storage of 32 GB. However, the Galaxy Note 4 can have an expanded storage using microSD. Both devices have the Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS software.

Camera

Droid Turbo is made with a 20.7-megapixel primary rear-end camera with Dual LED flash. It also has a 2-megapixel front-facing secondary camera. The Galaxy Note 4, on the other hand, has a 16-megapixel primary rear-end camera with LED flash and 3.7-megapixel front-facing secondary camera.

Battery

Moto Droid Turbo claims to have the most powerful smartphone battery in the market today with 3900 mAh. However, the Galaxy Note 4 is not far behind with 3220 mAh.
