Live images that allegedly feature the rumored Moto G 2016 have found their way on the internet, showing off some of the features and the design of the fourth iteration of the popular Motorola midranger.

The photos show the square-shaped fingerprint scanner embedded on the home button. There are no speaker grilles sandwiching it, giving it a rather cleaner look.

On the back of the Moto G 2016 is the rear-facing camera, which sits above the Motorola branding. It is enclosed in a rounded, slightly protruding vertical sliver where the dual LED flash is also located.

Based from the photos, the shooter on the back of the Moto G 2016 will come with laser autofocus. As far as design goes, Motorola chooses to stay close with the tried and tested look of its beloved lineup.

According to reports, Moto G 2016 will come in two versions and is adopting a more captivating moniker. The device's two models will allegedly be dubbed as the Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus.

As users would imagine, the latter edition will be bigger in size. At the moment, details about the specs sheet of the Moto G 2016 models are difficult to come by.

The only thing definite about the new Moto G is that Lenovo, which bought Motorola back in January 2014, will have influence on what the smartphone will look like and what it has to offer.

The fingerprint sensor of the Moto G 2016 is a touch made by Lenovo. It won't be the only one for sure, which is why it is more exciting for users, especially Lenovo fans, to see the handset.

Speaking of which, the Moto G 2016 or the Moto G4 might not see the light of day until July 2016, a year after its predecessor was launched.
