More details about an upcoming Motorola smartphone were leaked days before its expected reveal. Just last week, some information about the Moto G (3rd Gen) were released online, including the mid-range smartphone's rumored specs, release date, features, as well as a leaked photo showing the signature Moto Maker that is made for the upcoming device. 

The latest leaked photo of the upcoming handset will probably catch the attention of outdoor lovers and adventurers. The image shows the dummy unit for the soon-to-be released Moto G, with the IPx7 certification displayed on the touchscreen display. It means that device will still be able to work properly despite being submerged in one meter of water for up to half an hour.

According to earlier reports, the new version of Moto G, with model number AP3560AD1K8, will come with either a 5-inch or a 5.2-inch touchscreen 730p display. Some say that it will be powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with a 1.4 GHz quad-core processor, while others are saying that the device will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 610 SoC with 1.7 GHz quad-core processor. 

There are rumors that the new Moto G will have either 1 GB or 2 GB of RAM, as well as either a built-in 8 GB or 16 GB internal storage that can be expanded with its internal microSD slot. The device is also said to come native with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop upon release. 

The upcoming third-generation mid-range smartphone from Motorola will also allegedly have a 13-megapixel rear-facing primary camera with dual LED flash and full HD video recording, as well as a 5-megapixel secondary camera. 

The Moto G (1st Gen) came out in 2013, and it was followed by Moto G (2nd Gen) in 2014. Fans can expect to find out the actual specs of the soon-to-be released Moto G (3rd Gen) during Motorola's press launch scheduled on Tuesday, July 28.
