The first official teaser trailer for "Mr. Robot" season 2 has been released (via the Hollywood Reporter), and while it does not show new footage, it does feature a unique voice-over from main character Elliot (Rami Malek) that hints the world has forever changed due to the events that unfolded in the season 1 finale.

"Mr. Robot" season 1 ended with fsociety successfully hacking into Evil Corp, landing a devastating blow against the company, while also revealing that the titular Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) was only a figment of Elliot's imagination. The trailer for season 2 reveals that fsociety's actions may have taken Evil Corp a big step back.

Elliot's voiceover also serves as a call to action to everyone who no longer wants to be overruled by Evil Corp, the company which has taken over nearly every aspect of a citizen's life in the world of "Mr. Robot." His voice-over points out that the people need to unite, to take action and that together no one can stop their forces.

"You see it too, don't you? There are no guarantees anymore. No easy paths to follow. The future has never been less certain. They use that to scare us and keep us in line. Tell us we're powerless to do anything about it. Truth is, we have more power than they think," Elliot states in the teaser trailer.

The new trailer relies mostly on footage of season 1 but is edited to showcase how much the world is changing since the season 1 finale events took place.

"We the Bold," the new tagline for the USA Network, is also used in the trailer and is seamlessly blended into the theme of the second season. "We the Bold" will be utilized by USA Network for all their brands and merchandising but this will be the first time it has been integrated and used thus far.

"Mr. Robot" season 2 is expected to premiere this summer.
