The third season of "Mr. Robot" is not expected to return until next year, but series creator Sam Esmail's new tie-in book "Mr. Robot: Red Wheelbarrow" may give a clue about Elliot Alderson's (Rami Malek) next challenges for the upcoming season.

iDigitalTimes revealed that Esmail's upcoming book, which he co-wrote with Courtney Looney, is slated to be released on Tuesday, Nov. 1. Fans of the series may be familiar with the title of the book since it is also the title of the poem written by William Carlos Williams that Tyrell Wellick (Martin Wallström) quoted to Elliot in the finale of season 2. The phrase is also seen written in front of Elliot's journal that was burned by Hot Carla (Eve Lindley) when he was in prison.

Esmail teased that the phrase will play an important role in season 3. "That word, that poem, that phrase, Red Wheelbarrow, sticks in Elliot's mind and becomes a code word that we'll later explore in Season 3 that becomes inspiration for the book," Esmail stated during the panel at the 2016 New York Comic-Con as mentioned in the same report.

Tyler also revealed a very important clue about the phrase in the final episode of season 2, which could also have a connection with Elliot. According to the former senior vice president of Evil Corp., "Red Wheelbarrow" were the only English words that his father knew. He used it as a reminder of his father, who also happens to be the person that he never wanted to become.

This could have a connection with Elliot's personal battle to get rid of his father's image inside his head since he keeps on controlling him as Mr. Robot.

"Mr. Robot" season 3 is also expected to explore Joanna's (Stephanie Corneliussen) steps to help clear Tyler's reputation after her husband got involved with the 5/9 attack on the Evil Corp.

USA Network is slated to release the premiere episode of "Mr. Robot" season 3 sometime in 2017.
