Natalie Grant asks for prayers as daughter's lung collapses from pneumonia
Natalie Grant has asked fans to pray for one of her young twin daughters after she suffered a partially collapsed lung and pneumonia.
The popular Christian singer posted a message on her Facebook page just days after Christmas stating: "My daughter Gracie has pneumonia, a partial collapsed lung and is in respiratory distress. We would so appreciate your prayers."
The social media update was posted by Grant on December 28, just days after the family had been posing for Christmas photos looking happy and healthy.
Grant posted a picture of 8-year-old Grace Ana holding a fluffy sheep doll while laying in a hospital bed with an oxygen mask strapped on.
In another post, Grant said: "Day after Christmas ER visit with our sweet Gracie girl. Please pray for her little lungs to open up and breathing to return to normal."
Immediately, some of Grant's Christian music industry friends responded via their social media accounts also calling for their fans to pray for Grant's daughter. Those turning to prayer for Grace included Jason Crabb and Don Moen.
Natalie Grant is one of the most successful singer-songwriters in contemporary Christian music today. She has won the Gospel Music Association's Dove Award for Female Vocalist of the Year five times; four straight years in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, and then again in 2012.
She lives in Nashville, Tennessee with her Canadian producer husband, Bernie Herms, and their three daughters; 8-year-old twins Grace Ana and Isabella Noelle, and 5-year-old Sadie Rose.
