The next installment in 2K Games' hoops franchise is looking good. Images of "NBA 2K16" stars in action have been posted online, and in 1080p resolution, it seems that indeed, the game is looking to be one of the best titles in the franchise. The images showcase the three cover stars of the upcoming installment – Steph Curry, Anthony Davis, and James Harden.

Aside from the three NBA stars as cover, it was also reported that other athletes will have their time to shine with the local versions of the "NBA 2K16" covers. Reportedly, already lined up to grace the France edition of the title is Tony Parker, who already graced the previous "NBA Live 09" game from EA Sports.

While 2K Games has yet to confirm the reports, French site Gamelog via Project Spurs quoted Parker as saying, "I am very proud to be on the cover of 'NBA 2K16,' a game that I like. I am very happy to be part of the selection that always puts forward the best players in the NBA."

In addition to having full HD resolution, the upcoming title is also set to bring big changes to the hoops franchise. 2K Games confirmed via a tweet that one of the key features for "NBA 2K16" is the re-introduction of the Pro-Am game mode.

Pro-Am is like the Crew mode in previous titles. The new feature will allow gamers to build and manage their own teams, creating from scratch different team items such as logos, jerseys, and their own arena. The team can then duke it out in 5v5 matches against other teams online. This means that instead of the cut-and-dry fantasy leagues that players currently engage in, "NBA 2K16" fans can instead maintain their own basketball team and try to get to the top of the leaderboards.

"NBA 2K16" will come out on Sept. 29.
