NBC added three interesting new series that will join its roster of shows for 2015-2016.

According to a report from Variety, the network ordered a complete season of "Chicago Med" after it was introduced as a planted episode alongside "Chicago Fire" last April 7. Chicago Med is a medical drama that is also a spin-off of NBC's "Chicago" franchise, which includes the original firefighter drama "Chicago Fire" as well as the police procedural show titled "Chicago P.D."

The series will star Oliver Platt as Daniel and S. Epatha Merkerson as Sharon, doctors in the Chicago's busiest hospital. They will be joined by actors Nick Gehlfuss, Laurie Holden, and Yaya Dacosta. It is also reported that several cast members from the two other "Chicago" series will appear in the show.

Then another medical series will be introduced by the network this season. "Heartbreaker," formerly known as "Heart Matters," is the network's dramatic take on the world of medicine. It is allegedly inspired by the real-life experiences of Kathy Magliato, a renowned cardiovascular doctor of UCLA, in the character of Dr. Alex Panttiere to be played by Melissa George.

The show is about the struggles of the outspoken and fearless heart-transplant surgeon who is well-accomplished in her career but is hounded by her racy personal issues. George will be joined by co-star Dave Annable as her boyfriend, as well as Shelley Conn, Don Hany, Jamie Kennedy, D.L. Hughley, Joshua Leonard, and J. Louis Mills.

Finally, the network will introduce a new thriller from "The Flash" and "Arrow" creator Greg Berlanti titled "Blindspot." It revolves around the mysterious life of a pretty Jane Doe portrayed by Jaimie Alexander. She was mysteriously found inside a duffel bag completely naked but covered in intricate tattoo, without a single memory about herself.

Alexander will be joined by Kurt Weller, Rob Brown, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Audrey Esparza, Ashley Johnson, and Ukweli Roach.
