Daniella Ruah's real life pregnancy might affect the working relationship of Kensi Blye and Eric Christian Olsen's Marty Deeks in "NCIS: Los Angeles" season 8.

While the pair's relationship developed from being work partners into a romantic couple, the two might find themselves working without each other next season after Ruah announced that she will be on a maternity leave for her second child with husband Olsen's older brother David Paul. This could mean that fans of the series will not see the couple work on the same cases together.

The actress revealed that she managed to shoot several episodes for season 8 before she went on with her maternity leave. She also complimented the writers of the show for coming up with a way to include her character in the series despite her pregnancy according to the report from Christian Post. These prompted speculations that Deeks will be paired with a new partner while his girlfriend Kensi is assigned to deal with a secret assignment.

But will Kensi and Deeks finally decide to take their relationship to the next level by moving in together and eventually walking down the aisle?

Meanwhile, LL Cool J dropped a big teaser during an interview with E! News at the Summer Television Critics Association party.

According to the actor-rapper, the possible hashtags could be "#Somebody's got to die." The actor also added that "#Somebody's got to die. #Somebody's got to go, you know? #Changes. #You need to watch." Yet he did not reveal who among the cast members will be in peril once the series returns next season.

CBS also released the synopsis for the upcoming episode that was spotted by Enstarz, which reads:

"In the season premiere, the NCIS team is under investigation by the Under Secretary of the Navy due to the identification of a mole in their department. With every move being monitored, the team is assigned a High Value Target case involving a Syrian terrorist."

"NCIS: LA" season 8 premieres on Sunday, Oct. 2.
