Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula) and Sonja Percy (Shalita Grant) will find themselves in a dangerous situation in the upcoming episode of the CBS series "NCIS: New Orleans."

In "Confluence," TV Guide reports that the agents are escorting a key witness to Texas when they are ambushed. A notorious arms dealer will be tried in court and without the one person who can testify against him, they have no hope of putting him behind bars. This is a personal case for Pride, as he is the one who apprehended the criminal. Will he and Sonja get out of this quandary alive?

Last episode, the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) was tapped to investigate a case involving a stolen heart. A genius Navy coder was supposed to get the transplant, but the organ suddenly went missing. Meredith Brody's (Zoe McLellan) mother was called upon for help, as the trail led to her doorstep in the naval organization she worked for. She was in New Orleans for business, apparently, but also took the time to visit her daughter in the headquarters.

A call came through that two naval foreman were found murdered. Upon investigation, the team found out that one of the victims' common access card (CAC) card was missing. This led them to question Body's mother, who apparently hired the boys for a secret mission. They had to oversee the transfer of a heart for her naval technician, teen prodigy Max Pinzon (Benjamin Papac).

Max needed a heart transplant, but his blood was so rare it was difficult to find one that suited him. Brody's mother finally found one, but it got stolen. The thief killed her men, snatched the organ, and tried to substitute a fake one. When the NCIS looked into the black market, they found a trace. Someone needed a doctor and he was a criminal on the FBI Most Wanted list.

It turned out the culprit also needed a transplant, and with his rare blood, he was unable to find one. When he learned of Pinzon, he immediately set out to steal the heart intended for the teen. The NCIS found him in a clinic, but he already had the transplant. The criminal, however, was pronounced brain dead after the operation. The team raced to bring the heart to Pinzon, but he too did not make it.

"NCIS: New Orleans" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
