Agent Meredith Brody (Zoe McLellan) has exited "NCIS: New Orleans," and her replacement — FBI Special Agent Tammy Gregorio (Vanessa Ferlito) — comes just at the right time but with a few secrets to hide from the team.

At the season 3 premiere of "NCIS: New Orleans," Brody was no longer part of the team. Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula) told his team that Brody had already left and that the decision to leave NCIS had loomed over her for quite a while. Although Brody had an affair with their previous enemy — Homeland Security Agent John Russo (Ivan Sergei) — this was not the reason why she left the team.

The real reason why Brody left is unknown to the team and the viewers. Her exit was quick and simple, but it definitely left a big impact on the team.

The team was only starting to get used to Brody's absence when their new team member, Tammy, comes in on episode 2 of "NCIS: New Orleans" season 3. Gregorio is an FBI special agent who worked with Pride and his team to catch the culprit of the murders in episode 2, titled "Suspicious Minds." Gregorio had a conflict with her boss while defending the NCIS New Orleans team, who now welcomes her as the newest member of their team.

The team didn't accept Gregorio with welcoming arms, especially Sonja Percy (Shalita Grant) and Lucas Black (Christopher LaSalle), but she will form a strong bond with Pride, Ferlito revealed in an interview with ET Online.

Ferlito shared that Gregorio has a few dark secrets that involve New Orleans. "Her skeletons involve New Orleans, so she's fiercely trying to protect that because she feels like if they find out, then maybe they will think different of her or question her authority," Ferlito revealed.

She also shared that this particular skeleton in the closet is someone she was associated with. Gregorio is determined to keep her dark secret intact because it might influence how the team treats her, but Pride and his team may find out about her dark secret sooner or later in season 3.

"NCIS: New Orleans" season 3 airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EDT on CBS.
