Trent Kort (David Dayan Fisher) served as one of the most diabolical villains in "NCIS" season 13 but by the end of the season he was tracked by the authorities and surrounded with nowhere to go. According to a report from Movie News Guide, it is possible that he will still make an impact in season 14.

According to the report, the storyline regarding Trent, Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) is not over and while Weatherly has officially signed out of the show, it is possible that Ziva and Trent will appear via flashbacks as the rest of the "NCIS" uncover more clues about what truly happened.

The end of season 13 revealed that Ziva has a daughter named Tali and that she is still alive, somehow surviving the assault laid upon her family. It is possible that as the team help Tali discover what happened they may uncover more about Trent's story and this is where flashbacks may be inserted into the show.

Back in May, showrunner Gary Galsberg told Deadline that the show was always open for characters to come back and for more mysterious to be dissected and explored, stating "'NCIS' is a show and a franchise that's known historically for leaving lots of things unanswered and leaving all doors opens. We revisit all kinds of things in all kinds of ways. We never say never and I'm not going to stray from that kind of approach."

Trent's plans from season 13 will also affect Tobias Fornell (Joe Spano). According to a report from TV Line, Glasberg revealed that season 14 will showcase Fornell recovering in real time instead of the writers just taking a short cut to quickly fix the problem and move on to the next predicament.

No official release date has yet been announced but "NCIS" season 14 is speculated to premiere this Sept.
