"NCIS" is having the First Lady of United States of America as its latest guest star. Mark Harmon, who stars in the veteran series as Special Agent Gibbs, revealed that first lady Michelle Obama will be appearing in an upcoming episode.

Harmon was spotted by Washington Post leaving the White House a couple of days back. The actor then revealed to the publication that they are filming there and that Michelle Obama will be making an appearance.

The actor did not elaborate what role the first lady will play on "NCIS," but the news about her gracing the small screen via the long-running crime drama is already enough to keep fans talking for a while.

"NCIS" is known for having big guest stars. With the first lady on board, it just goes to show how big the series can go. Of course, showing some acting chops isn't new to Obama. In fact, the first lady does occasional small screen sidelines.

Obama appeared in "Parks and Recreation" and "Jessie and Lil Bub's Big Show," which have light themes compared to "NCIS." This makes it more exciting how the U.S. first lady will be integrated in the "NCIS" episode.

In her appearance in "Parks and Recreation," Obama talked about her Moving Up campaign to Leslie Knope played by Amy Poehler. Cinema Blend suggests that Mrs. Obama might do the same during her "NCIS" gig.

Details about the "NCIS" episode featuring the first lady are difficult to come by at the moment. With filming for the installment ongoing, fans should hear more about it in the days to come.

For now, fans can look forward to the "NCIS" season 13 finale, "Return to Sender," where Michael Weatherly will officially retire his fan-favorite character Agent Tony DiNozzo. The episode airs April 19 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
