2015 is already here and new releases of highly-demanded movies and much-anticipated shows hit the biggest streaming site - Netflix! The site has everything film and TV fanatics need to facilitate an explosive launch of the brand new year. As January steps in, movies, both classic and contemporary, will be set in motion. 

First in the list is an island-stranded Tom Hanks. Robert Zemecki's "Cast Away" finally found its way to the online streaming service and fans would love to see the celebrated actor as a FedEx employee fighting for survival and with only a volleyball as a companion. On the other hand, there is one for the Nicolas Cage fans. The highly-acclaimed movie, "Joe" has Cage looking after the youngest member (played by Tye Sheridan) of his lumber team. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are in pursuit of drug dealers in "Bad Boys II." Netflix users will get to see big explosions and even more explosions as January opens up. 

For a bloodcurdling treat, "The Quiet Ones" will do the trick. Viewers can watch students and their professor in a university crash into frightening supernatural forces in an experiment aimed to prove that none of the sort exists. Another horror film to check out is "The Omen," where a devil child brings mysteries and peril to his foster family and everyone around them. 

For the viewers who like it all musical, no movie is more fitting than "Les Miserables." By Jan. 14, viewers can watch the all-star cast belt out tunes and rebel in post-revolutionary France in the Oscar-winner movie. Disney also owns a place in the Netflix lineup with its classic animated film, "Aladdin." Music-lovers can get the tunes ready by Jan. 24 as they follow the story of how a street rascal, with a help of a genie in a lamp, capture Princess Jasmine's heart. Another Disney treat comes in the form of the 1996 flick "101 Dalmatians." 

Next, viewers can watch Jim Carrey take on God's duties and exploit his power in the comedy movie "Bruce Almighty." The world-renowned flick "Mean Girls" will also set the Netflix realm alight with Lindsay Lohan's attempt to rule high school. Meanwhile, Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale team up for "The Fighter" by Jan. 21. Tom Hardy is all well-dressed and loaded in "Locke," accessible by Jan. 1. Lastly, the sci-fi thriller "Skyline" will be up on Jan. 22.  

Series buffs have something to turn to as well. By Jan. 2, Netflix will open its doors to season 6 of "Sons of Anarchy" where protagonist Jax Teller is left to save SAMCRO from falling apart after Tara and Clay go behind bars. Season 9 of "The Office US" will be fired up by Jan. 6, where fans will see Dwight and Jim fret about potential competitions in the office and Nellie's life go down in shambles after Andy snatches her job from her. On the last day of January, the fifth season of "The Good Wife" can be streamed. It will start off with Carry and Alicia establishing a new firm subsequent to their exit from Lockhart & Gardner. Lastly, every episode of every season of the much-loved series "Friends" will finally reach Netflix's shores.
