The first trailer for Marvel's "Ant-Man" was underwhelming for many fans, but the second trailer that came out during the press day for "Avengers: Age of Ultron" showcased a lot more of the film's action sequences, special effects, humor, and a better look at the villain Yellowjacket. 

Dialogue pieces by Yellowjacket (Corey Stroll) and Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) are strung together, hinting that giving people the "power of the gods" would lead to chaotic results. This would later become one of the main issues to be tackled in "Captain America: Civil War." 

While a stand-alone film, "Ant-Man" is also the last movie in their Phase 2 plans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will tie the rest of the MCU to the events of Phase 3, which kicks off with next year's "Captain America: Civil War." It appears that Ant-Man's powers and Iron Man's creation of Ultron may be the cause for the aforementioned "Civil War." 

The trailer then showcases a lot of the film's special effects, particularly Ant-Man's capabilities to shrink, control ants, and his superhuman strength. 

One of the main highlights of the trailer is the villain Yellowjacket. Concept art was previously released to the public but this is the first time the villain is shown in action. His suit is obviously more advanced than Scott Lang/ Ant-Man's (Paul Rudd), carrying with it lasers and other weapons that Ant-Man's doesn't have. 

The film's sense of humor also shines through with this second trailer. Rudd's dry delivery blends well with the tone of the film and there is also a sequence of Yellowjacket nearly getting run over by a toy train. Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) also gets to pull a punch line with Rudd's character in a boxing scene. It's funny without breaking the serious atmosphere and the overall tone blends with the rest of the MCU properties. 

"Ant-Man" is scheduled to hit theaters on July 17.
