Huawei ATH-AL00 rumors: New Huawei Honor smartphone to come with sliding camera

Chinese company Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. released its new Honor 7 smartphone in China last month, followed by the recent launch of the Huawei G8 handset. Now, the company is preparing to release yet another Honor smartphone that's expected to come with a sliding camera, according to recent reports.

Called the Huawei ATH-AL00 for now, the upcoming mobile device recently passed through China's certification authority TENAA, according to a report by GSM Arena. The article adds that the new handset is expected to be a new product offering under Huawei's Honor series.

The Huawei ATH-AL00 can slide up its camera from the back, which can then be used as a front-facing camera as well. Unfortunately, not much is known yet about the new phone in terms of its specifications, although images provided by TENAA reveal how the phone looks like.

GSM Arena says the phone might come with a fingerprint scanning technology; and like its predecessors, it might pack within itself a Kirin chipset. In addition, Phone Arena reports that the alleged soon-to-be-released smartphone might also have a 3GB or 4GB RAM under the hood.

In the meantime, the Chinese giant is expected to launch its new Honor 7 smartphone in the United Kingdom on Aug. 27, according to Android Central. The company is also anticipated to release other new devices this year, including the Huawei Nexus.

The Huawei Nexus phone is expected to pack Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor and might sport a 5.7-inch display screen with a QHD pixel resolution. Reports say the Huawei Nexus could run on Google's new Android M operating system (OS).

On the other hand, Huawei's recently released G8 smartphone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, a massive 3,000 mAh battery capacity, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 5.5-inch display screen with full high-definition resolution.
