According to the latest New York Knicks trade rumors, the franchise is looking to have on board the 25-year-old big man Lance Stephenson, who is envisioned as another key player for the team.

Stephenson started his NBA (National Basketball Association) career with the Indiana Pacers where he was drafted there back in 2010. He was at his peak in the four years he worked with the club.

By the time he played for the Charlotte Hornets in 2014-15 and spent the recently-ended season with the Los Angeles Clippers, his numbers were no longer as impressive as they were.

He was traded early this year to the Memphis Grizzlies, where he proved he could improve and he did. However, the team chose to let him go and now, Stephenson is on the hunt for a new home.

Maxwell Ogden of Daily Knicks believes he should be a target of the New York Knicks, who has been making the headlines following their shocking and game-changing trades.

"Stephenson is struggling to find employment in the NBA—and that's exactly why the New York Knicks should sign him," Ogden stated in his report.

"Stephenson isn't just a highly capable playmaker who can be had for the veteran's minimum. Instead, he's a highly capable playmaker who can be had for the veteran's minimum and is as hungry as any player in the NBA," he went on to say.

Ogden added that a hungry player like Stephenson will gel easily with the New York Knicks, who have been building a team with such attitude.

With the Brooklyn native on the lookout for a new home and eager to prove himself, the Knicks can count on Stephenson performing at his best.

Stephenson can be counted on in scoring and performing off the bench, which the New York Knicks could very well take advantage of with Stephenson still on the market.
