LG has long been rumored to be one of the two companies identified as coming up with the Nexus 5 2015, and now Android Pit has confirmed that claim through a source.

The LG Nexus 5 variant will be something made out of scratch and will not be taken from the familiar LG G4. The company was behind the previous Nexus 5 model, so it will be interesting to see what the development team can come up with to make the next device an interesting buy.

This confirmation is only half of the Nexus 5 2015 rumor since Huawei is also reportedly making one.

But even if LG creates one, Huawei could come up with a different device. This supports a previous rumor that Google is planning to release two Nexus devices this year. This possibility was mentioned in a previous post, along with the codenames tied up to these brands.

As far as LG is concerned, rumors suggest that it will be called the LG Bullhead. The device will feature a 5.2-inch screen backed by a 2,700 mAh battery. It will run on a Qualcomm 808 processor and likely provide up to 64GB of storage.

As for the yet-to-be-confirmed Huawei variant, the device will be known as the Huawei Angler. This version will offer a larger 5.7-inch OLED display and make use of a Snapdragon 810 processor and a 3,500 mAh battery.

Both devices will likely come out with Android M out of the box, assuming that the latest Android OS comes out before the two phones hit the market.

The next Nexus 5 has its work cut out for itself as it tries to erase the stigma of a disappointing Nexus 6, which was unveiled on October 29, 2014 and was panned by Forbes for being too large and having an immature operating system. It is believed that the device may be unveiled by October or November.
