A couple of days prior to Google's expected unpacking of its latest smartphones, the Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P, a new round of leaks came into view. Leaked slides from an internal presentation show the design and specs of the latter device, which was allegedly prepared by Huawei.

The device was touted as the first Nexus device to be clad in full metal and will come in various sophisticated color options – aluminium, graphite, frost and gold, which will apparently be made exclusive to Japan during the initial launch. A Type C-USB port was integrated in the device, too.

The Huawei-made Nexus 6P in the slides also shows off its rear-facing camera, which was enhanced to capture better photos even in low-light in greater speeds and in more accurate focus, juxtaposed on a thick black rounded sliver at the topmost part of the device's back.

Under this flake is a fingerprint sensor, which will allow users to unlock the phone in one touch. As expected, Nexus 6P will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will boast a 5.7-inch WQuad HD display. A newer version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor will power up the device.

There will be 32-GB, 64-GB and 128-GB variants of the handset. But one of the most jaw-dropping aspects of the new Nexus phablet is the massive 3450-mAh battery it packs. This should keep the device alive longer than Nexus loyalists and smartphone users, for that matter, are used to.

Meanwhile, the Nexus 5X recently made its way into the FCC. It was suggested that the reboot allegedly made by LG could be offered by the biggest carriers in the US. Its visit at the certification agency merely confirmed that the device will come in a 5.2-inch display, as already rumored.

The Nexus 5X and the Nexus 6P are expected to be unveiled tomorrow, Sept. 29 with the new Android OS, Marshmallow.
