The last week of the 2015 National Football League (NFL) regular season takes place today, Sunday, with all 32 teams to see action as they try to close the season in a good note.

Starting Week 17 are the top two teams in the American Football Conference (AFC) East, the New England Patriots and New York Jets.

Reigning Super Bowl champions Patriots (12–3) are looking to bounce back after falling to the Jets in Week 16 and will take on the Miami Dolphins for their season closer.

Meanwhile, the Jets are second in the division with a 10–5 record and are surging, aiming to extend a five-game winning streak taking on the Buffalo Bills on the road.

The Philadelphia Eagles, who recently fired head coach Chip Kelly, are set to miss the playoffs for the second consecutive year and will end the 2015 season against the New York Giants.

Philadelphia and New York are tied for the second spot in the National Football Conference (NFC) East with 6–9 record.

The Cincinnati Bengals, who already clinched the AFC North, are ending their regular season versus the Baltimore Ravens.

However, Cincinnati will play without franchise quarterback Andy Dalton who is still nursing a thumb injury but is hoping to get the cast on his hand removed on Monday, NFL.com reported.

Another team currently on top of its division, the Denver Broncos of the AFC West, will play today, Sunday, against the San Diego Chargers.

The Broncos' game today might also be the first time that franchise quarterback Peyton Manning, who plans to return from a torn plantar fascia, plays as a backup in his NFL career.

Another notable game today is the Carolina Panthers' matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Panthers' perfect season ended last Sunday when they were defeated by the Atlanta Falcons, 20–13.

Now, Carolina and quarterback Cam Newton try to head to the playoffs with momentum as they look to topple thriving rookie quarterback Jameis Winston and the Bucs.
