Upcoming Japanese role-playing game (JRPG) "Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom" has recently released two new character trailers this past week. Of course, the game is less than two weeks away from its launch date, and this is a good time for developers Bandai Namco to raise the hype for the anticipated video game.

The earlier of the two trailers focuses on the character Evan. The trailer gives off a vibe that Evan is to become the king of the titular "Revenant" kingdom in the future. His fate becomes especially apparent when he seemed to recognize that there is hope for the kingdom.

The other trailer is for the character named Roland, and the game paints him as something of a mystery, indeed. It has been revealed that Roland is a time-traveler. He traveled back in time from the future to carry out one mission: protect the future king at all costs. And so, it will not be surprising to see Roland as a mainstay in the party to fight alongside Evan.

As a JRPG, gamers would expect "Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom" to contain a lot of grinding, and they would be correct. The game has a lot of complex systems included that most JRPG fans would love. Chapters One to Three would cover the basics of the game, while it is in Chapter Four where more complex game concepts would be introduced.

But of course, there is a percentage of JRPG fans that would just love to cruise through the game's story. Developers thought about these fans, too. The game has a ton of optional content and some that have direct narrative importance can be accessed with minimal grind.

There is also the Kingdom Builder component, which seems like an upgradeable hub wherein characters upgrade and store equipment and more.

"Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom" is expected to be released on March 23 for Windows PC and PlayStation 4.
