Collectors of Nintendo's toy figure lineups were surprised when news about possible upcoming Amiibo lineups broke online.

According to Perfectly Nintendo, images of the upcoming figurines have been spotted online, following the company's announcement about Amiibo target release dates in a previous Nintendo Direct presentation. The website disclosed that the first round of figurines might be retailer-exclusive ones. The Amiibo that were spotted were Ryu and Famicom R.O.B. from the "Super Smash Bros." title, and Timmy & Tommy Nook from the "Animal Crossing" series.

Ryu was seen in a display for Toys 'R Us, while Famicom R.O.B. and Timmy & Tommy Nook were reported to be exclusives from Target.

The images for the surprise Amiibo were captured in different forums, including those on Reddit.

Meanwhile, aside from the three Amiibo, there are also other additions that would be surprising for fans. According to My Nintendo News, Roy, another "Super Smash Bros." fighter, will be seen by fans through a retailer-exclusive lineup at GameStop, along with "Animal Crossing" characters Kapp'n and Rover.

Aside from surprising leaks for upcoming Amiibo, reports of previously out-of-stock and rare Amiibo have also been surfacing online. In a report by Destructoid, Walmart will stock up on a minimum of 21 Amiibo per store of Modern Color Mario Amiibo, just in time for Black Friday. The figures that will be shown were previously a part of an exclusive Wii U bundle in the United States, and were not a part of the regular Amiibo lineup by Nintendo. Outside of the bundle, the Walmart list will be opened up as separate purchases for fans for the first time since the previous bundle launched.

The Amiibo lineups were first seen last year as an add-on feature for "Super Smash Bros." for the Wii U. It has been reported that to date, Nintendo had shipped over 21 million Amiibo worldwide.
