Nintendo recently shared a detailed outline of its plans for the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). This year, the event will take place on June 13–15.

Nintendo took to Twitter to invite tech enthusiasts to participate in E3. Within the three-day event, gamers should expect to know more about the much-awaited "Super Mario Odyssey."

They wrote, "Join us during #E32017 as we bring you the latest on this year's #NintendoSwitch and #3DS games, including #SuperMarioOdyssey!" The tech giant also shared a schedule of events for E3.

According to Nintendo, it will host an event called Nintendo Spotlight on June 13 at 9 a.m. PT or 12 p.m. ET. The event will supposedly cover more details about the company's upcoming games for the latest hybrid console, the Switch, one of which is "Mario Odyssey." Participants can tune in on e3.nintendo.com.

Following the Nintendo Spotlight is the Treehouse Live event, wherein developers and Treehouse members are expected to showcase the Switch and 3DS consoles' gameplay.

According to reports, the company is planning to promote third-party titles during the event. The strategy is meant to promote the Switch as well, to make it appealing to more consumers, and eventually to improve sales.

According to reports, Nintendo has been able to sell 2.7 million Switch units and 5.5 million Switch games. Reports say the company forecasts a whopping 35 million for the Switch games' sales. It plans on achieving so in the next fiscal year, which starts this April and lasts until March 2018. The company also intends on selling 10 million Switch units within that period.

From June 13 to 14, tech enthusiasts can participate in or watch tournaments for "Splatoon 2" and "ARMS," which Nintendo will be hosting. Gamers can watch from the company's E3 booth.
