New versions of the much anticipated NVIDIA Pascal GP104 GPU are expected to be revealed on May 6. The new graphics cards, known as the GTX 1080 and GTX 1070, are expected to hit stores in June.

Fans will be treated to a demo of the new edition NVIDIA Pascal GP104 GPU cards during the "Battlefield 5" reveal where they will be used to power up the game.

There is a huge amount of buzz around EA DICE's world premiere event for the launch of the long awaited shooter game on the same day as the GTX 1080 and GTX 1070.

Depending on how visually stunning "Battlefield 5" is, gamers can get a pretty good idea of what to expect from the GeForce GTX 1070 and GTX 1080, which will feature GP104-200 and GP104-400, respectively.

But don't get too excited just yet as the showcase is expected to be just a paper launch with a later full reveal at Computex 2016.

Rumored specs of the two GPUs includes 8 GB of video random access memory (VRAM) on a 256-bit memory interface and a rumored price tag of $449 for the GTX 1070 and $599 for the GTX 1080.

Another rumor doing the rounds is that NVIDIA will use the Battlefield 5 reveal to showcase a third graphic card, the GTX 1060 Ti , which is rumored to use GP104-150 and 6 GB of GDDR5 VRAM on a 192-bit memory interface.

According to Techfrag, this unit may not perform so strongly against its rival, AMD's Polaris 10.

Additionally, the GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 are reported to feature 2560 CUDA core chips, which have been tweaked by NVIDIA to enhance the performance.

As per VR World, NVIDIA expects that the new Pascal GP-104 GPU-based cards will "bring the honey" for the company.
