The Oakland Raiders and the San Diego Chargers are two teams on the verge of seeing their seasons disappear over the edge. Both have negative records, and both will be desperate to claim the win today to keep their seasons alive when they face off Sunday afternoon in Week 7 of the NFL 2015 regular season. The game has a scheduled start time of 4.05 p.m. ET and takes place from Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California. The Raiders come into today's game on 2-3, and have the chance to move to .500. Failure to do so would see them drop back to 2-4 and be facing the abyss for their postseason hopes.

The Chargers meanwhile are already on 2-4 and another loss today would surely be another nail in the coffin for their season. A win today though would put them in touching distance of .500 again and if they can string together a run of wins then their season could still change round yet.

Both teams have lost their last two games to leave their seasons facing the edge of a cliff. A third straight loss for either would surely be the beginning of the end for their seasons.

San Diego though will be confident coming into today's game, being at home, as well as winning six of the last seven meetings between the pair.

Earlier this week on Thursday Night Football, the Seattle Seahawks destroyed the San Francisco 49ers 20-3 as they shut down the 49ers' offense to great affect.

San Francisco were not even able to get onto the scoreboard until the second half, and when they did it would be a solitary field goal effort in the third quarter.

That result gave the Seahawks their fourth straight win over the 49ers, and it will have pleased them to dump San Francisco down to the depths of 2-5, effectively ending any lingering thoughts that the 49ers had of being able to make the Playoffs.

The Seahawks have been gaining a reputation for having fourth quarter collapses this season, and that has undermined their efforts for their division race. But there was to be no repeat of those collapses on Thursday, as they gained their first road win in four attempts to go 3-4 and within touching distance of a more mediocre .500 record.

On Thursday Night Football, quarterback Russell Wilson completed 10 of his first 12 passes to impose himself on the game, and finished the game with 235 yards passing. However, he was also alarmingly sacked five times as his team failed to give him adequate protection.

Marshawn Lynch scored a spectacular touchdown, jumping the pile for a one yard score, and overall ran for 122 yards, although the most memorable moment for many about Lynch's performance on Thursday may have been when he vomited on the sidelines in the first half.
