The Samsung Galaxy series is arguably one of the best phones that Samsung has to offer and is in constant rivalry with Apple's flagship, the iPhone. With iPhone 8 and X being revealed months ago, finally, here is Samsung's latest Galaxy S9 and S9+ with its specs being officially revealed.

On a general aesthetic level, Samsung did not actually change at all compared with the previous Samsung Galaxy S8. It still has the same 5.8 (for the S9) and 6.2-inch (for the S9+) super active-matrix organic light-emittingvdiode (AMOLED) with 18.5:9 screens. Users get a 4 GB random-access memory (RAM) when choosing the 64 GB storage and a 6 GB RAM when choosing the 128 GB.

Where it improves more on is its features. One obvious improvement that many have already expected is its better camera, specifically its camera sensors. The primary lens now has adjustable aperture at f/1.5 or f/2.5 for the 9+. The S8 only have f/1.5 and f/1.7. The secondary lens is fixed allowing better photos even at twice the zoom.

The camera also have a Live Focus mode that is quite simply their version of the iPhone camera Portrait mode. In video mode, it now features Motion Detection in which it will automatically start recording when it detects motion. The slow-mo feature has also been added up to 960 frames-per-second (fps) and when taken, allows users to edit the video to add background music.

Similar to iPhone's , the new Samsung phone has AR emoji that captures a photo of the user's face and transforms it into the emojis on the phone. These can even be customized similar to Snapchat's bitmojis. Speaking of AR, Bixby has more AR functionalities that allow it to translate signages or identify the food on the plate by using the camera.
