"One Finger Death Punch 2," the sequel to the cinematic kung-fu brawler "One Finger Death Punch" developed and published by Silver Dollar Games, is "coming when it's ready."

Silver Dollar Games confirmed the news on Facebook. The game studio also said in the comment section of the promotional photo for the "One Finger Death Punch" sequel that the game will take a year to be completed. Moreover, Silver Dollar Games also said that they are now working with Unity instead of the first game's XNA that will allow them to support multiple platforms. The game studio said that they have already sent proposals to Microsoft for Xbox One as well as to Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4.

Eurogamer reported that "One Finger Death Punch 2" looks identical to its prequel in terms of gameplay. Players control a central stick figure by clicking either the left or the right mouse button to make a quick attack to the analogous side.

Seeing as the upcoming title's gameplay looks similar to its prequel, it will be beneficial for those who are not familiar with the first game to know more information regarding "One Finger Death Punch." The upcoming game's prequel features five classic kung-fu styles mixed with additional weapons that players can throw. The game also features a world map with over 250 stages, 13 modes and 3 difficulty levels as well as 21 different skills to unlock to help players in their journey. Perhaps what makes the game different from other brawlers is that it is designed to ward off button mashers. If the upcoming game will be like the first game, players who are used to mashing their buttons will have a hard time keeping their game characters alive.

"One Finger Death Punch 2" will be part of the Indie Megabooth at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco from March 19 to 23.
