Fans who closely follow anime adaptations of original manga observed that in-between seasons, there will most likely be time skips to get ahead with the story. However, it seems that it will not be the case for season 2 of "One Punch Man."

According to Crossmap, since the anime adaptation remained faithful to the original manga arcs, season 2 of "One Punch Man" will immediately start where the last season left off. This means that instead of seeing A-City already rebuilt in the pilot episode, the premiere of season 2 will have fans see a continuing conversation between the heroes, Saitama's reaction with the battle that has just happened, and introducing the upcoming arcs.

The last season of "One Punch Man" ended with the destruction of A-City, as well as some of Class-S and Class-A heroes coming to the rescue of the people. Meanwhile, the climax of the series also had fans see the match between Lord Boros and Saitama. While Saitama admitted that he had to get serious in fighting him, Lord Boros smirked and instead accused Saitama of going easy on him and not letting out his full power in their fight.

The industry follower said that following a fresh start for the anime, the pilot episode of season 2 will also be titled "The Strongest Hero," much like how season 1 started. While still unclear on how it will turn out, the pilot episode seems to be about either Saitama or Amai Mask and the inevitable clash between them. Amai Mask was foreshadowed in the ending episodes of season 1 as a pivotal character in the series.

Meanwhile, fans who are waiting for season 2 may have to contend themselves first by reviewing all previous episodes, as it is speculated that season 2 will not come until next year. According to Korea Portal, although creator Yusuke Murata is doing his best, the continuous lags in the releases for the manga adaptation may make it difficult to sustain the creative work being done in the anime adaptation.
