After two years, there is finally a confirmation that Saitama will return in "One Punch Man" season 2. The worldwide hit anime series has amassed a huge following across the globe, which is why it is no longer surprising that a second season is now underway. In spite of this, only a few details are known regarding the new storyline and characters in the series, but a latest scoop suggests a return of a mysterious character from the first season.

According to the latest report, "One Punch Man" season 2 will be introducing a new villain after the defeat of Lord Boros at the end of the first season. This time around, the latest big bad of the anime is actually a returning character from season 1, which happens to be one of the disciples of Bang. This person is none other than Garou, which was already featured in the tenth episode of the first season. However, some viewers might not have actually felt his presence as Garou only appeared in a cameo role. For one, only his name was mentioned in the episode, and his appearance was not fully shown, aside from his silhouette. 

Those who are familiar with the original manga issue of "One Punch Man" would be aware that Garou is originally a good-hearted follower of Bang, but his twisted opinion on the importance of heroes in the world will pit him against Saitama. Garou was first announced to be a part of "One Punch Man" season 2 at the recent Anime Japan event in Tokyo City. The gathering had a special focus on the popular anime series, wherein it was confirmed that Garou will be the next villain in "One Punch Man."

In terms of the possible storyline, there are many possibilities in which story arc from the manga will be used in "One Punch Man" season 2. As the fans are patiently waiting for the first official trailer of the second season, it was tipped that the upcoming anime event in Japan, titled "One Punch Man Maji Gakuensai," will finalize the details regarding the latest plotline of the series.
