The upcoming season of ABC's "Once Upon a Time" will pick up exactly where the previous installment left off, with Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) getting sucked by the vortex of evil.

Creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, together with cast members Lana Parrilla, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Josh Dallas, recently attended the Disney's D23 convention. There, the producers gave the fans of the fairytale drama series something to think about while waiting for the show to return in September.

According to Hollywood Life, a sneak peak video from the premiere episode was released, showing Emma as she crosses over the dark side to become the new Dark One. Regina Mills (Lana Parrilla) will also be seen on the clip, as well as Snow White/Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin).

As Emma vanishes into thin air, Regina tells Snow White that Emma is stupid to let herself get sucked by the vortex. The latter then reminds her that she did that to save Regina's life from the Darkness.

Properly chastised, Regina will agree that what Emma has done is heroic; still, it does not change the fact that she is now a problem for them, as well as everyone in Storybrooke. Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) wonders where Emma currently is, prompting Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) to use his dagger to summon her.

Emma still does not appear. When Regina asks what the dagger is for, Hook explains that through it, he can summon the Dark One from any part of the world. Regina then points out a worrying observation. If the dagger cannot beckon the new Dark, that means she is in another world.

Meanwhile, TV Line reveals exciting news about Belle's (Emilie de Ravin) storyline for season 5. The showrunners have hinted in an interview that Belle and Merida (Amy Manson) will go on an adventure together. They also divulged that come episode 5, Sir Lionel, a renowned knight from the famed King Arthur's Round Table, will be joining the others in the Land without Magic.

"Once Upon a Time" premieres Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
