Fans are not the only ones who are excited to see the new season of "The Originals" back on screen, as even the cast members of the supernatural drama – Charles Michael Davis for one – said that they cannot wait until season 3 starts this fall.

Davis, the actor who portrays the role of Marcel in the horror fantasy drama, talked about what viewers should look forward to in "The Originals" season 3, after attending the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con. According to the actor, lots of action-packed scenes were filmed for this season, and one of his long-standing requests to have a gym on the set was finally granted.

"I think it's a great thing because I was always bugging them to build a gym on the set so now one of our sets is a gym. There's going to be some cool fighting," Davis shared with Showbiz Junkies after the show's 2015 SDCC panel. "Hopefully you'll get to see Marcel back to his original form."

The 30-year-old actor also said that several interesting but mysterious characters will come cruising in New Orleans in season 3.

"They're intelligent, they're dangerous, they're sexy," he said. "They come in with a twinkle in their eyes. To me, they reminded me of season one when we met Marcel, but there are now just more of them."

Aside from the new characters, fans of the series should also look forward to the change in the dynamics between Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Cami (Leah Pipes) after he hired her to help him with his behavioral problems. Klaus will reportedly face a lot of consequences for all the actions that he made in season 2, despite doing those to protect his daughter Hope. His siblings, particularly Elijah (Daniel Gillies), will loathe him after almost having them killed and for cursing Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) to remain as a werewolf.

Aside from the plot, Davis said that he enjoyed working on the set, especially whenever he works with Gillies and Morgan. According to the actor, it was always hard to keep a straight face whenever they shoot group scenes together because they could not help but laugh at the pranks which were normally staged by Gillies.

"I can't wait for season three. I think I'm going to join in on some of the pranks. I was a little quiet," he said

"The Originals" season 3 is slated to premiere on Oct. 8 on The CW.
