Rachel Duncan is alive, which means that the devious sister/ clone of Sarah Manning can still finish her task in the third season of "Orphan Black." 

Viewers thought that the ruthless version of Tatiana Maslany's character met her ultimate demise after a pencil was lunged at her while she was trying to extract Sarah's ovaries. But since she is one of the most valued creations under Project Leda, it would be impossible to destroy her that easily. 

The news was confirmed by series producer Graeme Manson via TVGuide.com, saying, "We should not be counting Rachel down and out." 

However, Rachel will reportedly return with a different persona, which could be far from her usual calm, collected self. 

"[The pencil went in deep], but how deep?" the executive producer claimed. "That's going to really tell us about Rachel's fate. It is rather delicious to take someone who is that poised and cold and have such a heavy, hard mask and put them in a position where they are less than what they've been before." 

Will she start being empathetic and more kind toward the other Project Leda clones? Or is she simply going to start strategizing to know where to attack next time? 

But aside from Rachel's return, "Orphan Black" viewers should also expect to see a lot of new faces in season 3. One of the frequently mentioned is "Grimm" star James Frain, who will portray the role of Ferdinand, "a powerful player in a secretive, multi-national political faction that operates with questionable ethics and a ruthless approach." 

He will be constantly joined by Bulldog, portrayed by actor Earl Pastko. Bulldog has been described as a very violent but silent bodyguard who is willing to finish the dirty deed of his crooked employers. 

Justin Chatwin from "Shameless" will also appear this season as Jason Kellerman, an experienced drug dealer who disguises himself as a charming businessman and Alison's former high school friend. Ksenia Solo will join the cast as Shay, while Kyra Harper will portray the role of cunning military advisor Dr. Coady. 

The third season of "Orphan Black" will premiere on Saturday, April 18.
