In just three episodes, "Outlander" season 3 is about to reveal the end of Jaime (Sam Heughan) and Claire's (Caitriona Balfe) story this season. As they are about to open a new chapter of their lives, little details about "Outlander" season 4 are now emerging.

Starz's hit television show's next installment will be based on Diana Gabaldon's fourth novel "Drums of Autumn" and will be carrying a new theme called home. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Matthew B. Roberts talked about Jamie and Claire's future.

Roberts narrated that the couple has no idea where they are going to live together in the course of the show's last three seasons. "They never plant their feet," he said. So, in "Outlander" season 4, they are now going to a place that they can call "home."

However, a home has different meanings for some people. Thus, this will be the thing that they are going to explore in the coming season. Meanwhile, in an interview with Collider, showrunner Ronald D. Moore and executive producer Maril Davis discussed the locations and settings for the next installment.

As the television series is considered a historical time travel drama because of its different locations, season 4 will be the first time that "Outlander" is going to be in the same place.

"That will be unusual for us 'cause we are not really used to that," Davis said.

Davis added that they found Scotland a very lucky place to film in. Here, if one location falls out and they have not built a set on time, they can always find a castle to use. They would not be this lucky in the city-state as they cannot just go somewhere down the road and find what they need.

"Outlander" season 4 is expected to be released in 2018 while "Outlander" season 3 continues to air every Sunday at 8 p.m. EST on Starz.
