Paul George, Oklahoma City Thunder's star forward, has recently worked with tech giant Sony for a new signature Nike sneaker. The sneaker will be inspired by Sony's famous home console series, the PlayStation.

George's upcoming sneakers were first seen in Quicken Loans Arena during the Thunder's lopsided victory in Cleveland against the Cavaliers last Jan. 21.

Dubbed as the "PG-2 PlayStation colorway," the PlayStation-inspired shoes of the star forward will be George's second signature shoe.

The PG-2 has a dominant color of black, taking inspiration from the classic black PlayStation designs since the PlayStation 2. The black colors are accentuated by a darker hue coming from its sleek patent leather material. Upon closer look, the leather is embossed with PlayStation gamepad symbols such as the "X" and "O."

As for the midsole of the shoe, it comes with a lighter hue of black with a galaxy-inspired pattern. Again, this is another idea from Sony, taken from their galaxy-themed vinyls made for PlayStation controllers, particularly the "Dualshock 3" and "Dualshock 4."

However, among all the new designs of the PG-2, the most unique feature is probably its light modes. The shoe logos will have a subtle LED light which is located on the shoes' tongues.

Each shoe tongue will have a separate logo. One is George's signature logo, while the other is the PlayStation's. The logos light up in a bluish color, pairing well with the black hue of the tongues.

The lighting comes in three modes. Shoe owners can have the lights on, off, or in "Pulse mode." The Pulse mode allows the two logos to blink simultaneously.

As for the light source, the shoes are powered by small lithium batteries, with the light switch (which has a design of PlayStation's power button) located behind the logos.

The PG-2 PlayStation colorway will be available in selected stores worldwide on Feb. 10 with a price tag of $110. The shoe will only be a limited run, making it quite hard to come by in most stores.
