The cast and crew of "Penny Dreadful" are hard at work on filming season 2. There's no time to waste for producer Christopher King and his team to create the best follow-up season yet.

Just a few days ago, King posted a photo of the set on his Twitter account and captioned it, "On a location recce (aka "location scout" for the Americans) for @SHO_Penny #PennyDreadful #ittakesavillage." And in the photo, it can be seen that there are at least two dozen people taking notes in the courtyard, probably following instructions on what to do with the set.

Meanwhile, someone arrived on the set of Showtime's "Penny Dreadful" and it's someone everyone's excited to see. He is none other than Reeve Carney, the actor who plays Dorian Gray.

There's no question why fans want more and more of Dorian Gray, even if his character didn't really make a significant impact until the latter part of season 1. And now that Carney is fully present on the set, it looks like Dorian Gray will make an impact early on in the season, particularly in the premiere episode "Fresh Hell."

King tweeted a photo of him and Carney together and said "He's baaaaack! Clearly We're very excited to have Dorian Gray @reevecarney back for #PennyDreadful Season2."

The news was confirmed by director James Hawes via Twitter saying, "Actors arriving for fittings; lighting being rigged; scenes planned: sets being dressed: T minus 7 days. #PennyDreadful @SHO_PR @SHO_Penny"

Carney was already seen alongside John Logan, Harry Treadaway and Josh Harnett at the San Diego Comic-Con. However, at that time, the cast still didn't know what would happen to their characters. But now, with the revelations from King and Hawes, there's a good chance that Dorian Gray will be full and center in Season 2.

Showtime's "Penny Dreadful" will return in 2015.
