Running back DeMarco Murray is not looking to bail on the Philadelphia Eagles despite having a lackluster season and plans to stay with the team he signed with during last year's free agency period. 

Murray, who was with the Dallas Cowboys in his first four seasons in the National Football League (NFL), left the team and joined the Eagles last March. 

Before heading to Philadelphia, Murray playing for Dallas led the NFL in rushing yards during the 2014 season going for a career-best 1,845 yards in 392 carries, having 13 touchdowns. 

Because of this feat, there were huge expectations for Murray playing for the Eagles, unfortunately it did not turn out great for him. 

In Murray's first year with Philadelphia this season, he only had 193 carries for 702 yards and six touchdowns, very far from the numbers he listed in the previous season. 

The Eagles ended the season second in the National Football Conference (NFC) East with a 7–9 record, missing the playoffs for the second consecutive year. 

Despite all these, Murray does not want to part ways with the Eagles and expressed that in an interview on ESPN's SportsCenter. 

"I do. Last year is the last impression I want to leave in my mouth and for the fans and my family," Murray answered when asked if he would like to be back with Philadelphia. 

"I take football very, very seriously. It's my life. I love it, besides my family and my faith. Those are things I never want to leave off on a note like I did last year. So I'm working tremendously hard to try to improve from an individual standpoint and a team standpoint as well," the 27-year-old running back continued. 

As long as the Eagles do not make a drastic move involving Murray, he will likely be an Eagle since the contract he signed with the team is a five-year pact.
