Xbox one owners can now enjoy new features and smoother gameplay with the latest update for PUBG Corp's popular survival shooter "Player Unknown's Battlegrounds."

The developers account recently posted a tweet from the game's official twitter account telling Xbox players that they will be releasing a patch that would address a number of issues regarding crashes and low framerate, and also add improvements that were previously unavailable to the console version.

One of the major complaints in the game was the crashing issue, which would boot most players out of the game, forcing them to log back in which can be frustrating, especially when the crash occurs later in the game and the player has already built himself up. With the latest patch, this issue will hopefully be minimized, if not completely fixed.

The patch also improved the frame rates on both the client and server sides for smoother gameplay. Visual and lighting effects have been tweaked as the previous version made shadows appear too dark.

Players now also have the option of turning the music on and off in-game. This feature is extremely helpful to players who want to focus more on the game's sound effects, which practically serves as additional eyes at the back of the players' heads.

Vehicles will now be more susceptible to damage, turning them into miniature death chambers as opposed to being portable safe rooms that prolong a player's life especially during crunch time. This will be a monitored feature during its early stages and is subject to adjustments if developers see that it is becoming too much of a disadvantage.

The aiming acceleration can now be adjusted in-game to suit the players' needs.

The highlight of the patch is the First Person Perspective option for solo play mode, which would give the game a bit of a "Counter-Strike" feel while playing the game. This will also make aiming much easier, but would make players more vulnerable to being blindsided so it might take a little getting used to.

Gaming website IGN reports that PUBG Corp acknowledges that the patch won't be able to cover all of the Xbox One version's issues. The patch notes include a message from the developers saying:

"We know there is still work remaining in order for us to reproduce and address all remaining issues. Crash fixes, like all areas of the game, will be something we continue to improve upon as part of our Xbox Game Preview roadmap."
