Someone got very upset with the current situation over at the PlayStation Network website, which was why he wanted to find a way to resolve it. 

WPTV news reported that a teen from Florida called 911 to inquire about the whole PlayStation Network situation. The conversation exchanged was posted by the official Twitter account of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. 

The 911 dispatcher received a call from the teen, who asked if they knew something about the connectivity problem of the websites dedicated to the gaming network. 

According to the report, "The PBSO dispatcher temporarily asks the caller to wait while she asks others about the problem. Then, she returns and tells the caller, 'Yeah, I guess some people have been reporting it.'"

The connectivity problem of PSN and Xbox Live started on Christmas Day, and it is still going on until now.

Apparently, a hacker group that calls itself the Lizard Squad warned gamers on Twitter that they would be crashing both gaming networks. 

The account is now unavailable, but one of its tweets stated, "[T]his is not a threat but a promise. On December 25 aka Christmas. We will tap into Microsoft and shut down Xbox Live FOREVER! So enjoy it while it lasts. – Lizard Squad." 

Both Sony and Microsoft is still mum about this threat's connection with the current connectivity problem. 

Because of this outage, Sony decided to extend the Flash Sale as well as the Holiday 2014 digital sales promotions. Initially, the Flash Sale was scheduled to run until Dec. 29, but it is now given an added day. The Holiday Sale has been extended, too, and will last until Jan. 6 instead of the earlier schedule of Dec. 29. 

Bungie and Rockstar Games also extended their respective activities because of the current connectivity problems.
