PlayStation Plus October 2015 free games: Indie, AAA gamesto be on the list of free titles

While PlayStation console users are still waiting for Sony's official announcement of the roster of games that will be available for free for all PlayStation Plus members in October, more speculations about the possible game titles have been reported online.

In a report from Push Square, one of the most prevalent PlayStation Plus rumors is that independent Flash game "Super Meat Boy" will be one of the titles that will be released for free next month for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.

The single-player platform game developed and published by independent studio Team Meat has been highly praised by critics and players alike because of its visually appealing retro artwork and engaging soundtrack, in adddition to the game's detailed game control.

Another title rumored to be included next month is Bracket Games' "Three Fourths Home," which came out in March this year on Steam. Product Reviews spotted leaked information claiming that the game will have a PlayStation 4 and PS Vita edition, to be released on Oct. 6. It could be an indicator that the visual novel game will be included on the list of October 2015 free games for all PlayStation Plus subscribers.

Meanwhile,a NeoGaf user posted a screenshot of the US PlayStation Network store showing that Ubisoft's "Assassin's Creed: Black Flag" was marked as "free" this month. But the user also noted that if a player clicks on it, the game's original price of $15 will appear. Because of that, the NeoGaf user speculated that Black Flag will be a part of the free games list for PlayStation Plus.

However, Sony has yet to confirm if the rumored titles will actually be included in the final roster of free games next month. Players are expected to hear the official announcement sometime this week.
