Latest reports claimed that new game "Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby" will feature a storyline about mega-evolution involving the Mega Latios and Mega Latias.

As Pokemon X & Y featured a cliffhanger about the mega evolution of the said creatures, the new game was expected to continue or give resolution to the storyline. Moreover, the remake of the third generation was speculated to upgrade the Hoenn region with all of the latest features in the franchise.

Although it is a remake of the previous games of the series, "Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire" was rumored to be more than a remake and there will be new changes to the overall battle. However, to the disappointment of many fans, the game will not be in full 3D just like the Pokemon X and Y. This does not mean that CG graphics will not be used in the game but the new Nintendo game will leave out the stereoscopic (glasses-free) 3D effect that Pokemon games usually make use of.

Also, it is still unknown what type of characters will be included in the new game and it is still unconfirmed whether the characters will be the mega-evolution versions of Pokemon, or new forms, or even relatively new Pokemon.

"I think these games are going to cause another huge change in the world of battling. They will be released in November of this year, so until then you'll still be battling using Pokemon X and Y," battle director for the Pokemon games Shingeki Morimoto said.

Motoring Crunch stated that "Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby" will be released in November while other reports claimed that the game will be released in June at the E3 tech and gaming events. Rumors claimed that the suggested retail price is put at $39.99, with free shipping, but there is no confirmation yet about preorder bonuses. Fans may have to wait until next month in order to find out more about the game.
