Die-hard Pokémon fans have a reason to rejoice as the new fighting game from the franchise will be making its way to North America.

The restaurant and arcade chain Dave and Buster's has already confirmed that they will indeed be testing out the game within North America, after managing to come to an agreement with game developer Namco, according to Gamerant.

Since the game, known as "Pokkén Tournament," is currently confirmed only for a round of testing for now in North America, what that means is that there is no guarantee that it will be widely available, or that it will even be playable for a long time.

Dave and Buster's has around 70 different locations across both Canada and the U.S., but it looks as though "Pokkén Tournament" is a long shot to be available at even just a majority of those locations. As of now, it is believed that the game will most likely only be available in about a handful of locations, according to Polygon

One possible indicator of how Dave and Buster's will test out "Pokkén Tournament" is the way they are currently handling testing for "Tekken 7." With that latter title still in the testing phase, it is currently available only in three Dave and Buster's establishments.

Despite what may ultimately be a very limited test, both Dave and Buster's and Namco are optimistic that the game will prove to be popular. The decision to make the game available in most if not all Dave and Buster's establishments is expected to ultimately rely on how much support the game will receive during the testing phase.

Dave and Buster's Senior Vice President Kevin Bachus has yet to provide an official timeframe for when "Pokkén Tournament" might make its way to their arcades, although it may be available sooner rather than later as the game has already been launched in Japan.
