Visiting PokeStops is a must since pokemon are more likely to appear in areas that are close to this particular spot. Aside from this benefit, players can also get refills of pokeballs and other various items when they encounter PokeStops.

Stock-up on Pokeballs

The most important necessity in catching pokemon in-game is a pokeball. Players who aspire to catch them all should definitely stock-up on supplies because otherwise, pokemon will just slip by.

As mentioned, above pokeballs can be found in Pokestops which players can get for free. However, players can also opt to buy some inside the store.

Using Incense

Another way to go about catching tons of pokemon in one go is by using incense, an item that attracts hordes of pokemons to one's location. By utilizing incense, players will be able to attract pokemon that are on a higher level of rarity.

However, one downside to incense is that it has a time limit. So, it would be better if users or players have stocked up on pokeballs beforehand.

Turn the AR setting off

While obviously the coolest part in the game, the augmented reality (AR) setting is not the most ideal feature when it comes to catching pokemon. First, the AR mode uses a lot of battery power which cuts one's pokemon catching journey short. Second, it makes it harder to aim pokemon that pop up.
