The year 2016 will, in all likelihood, feature the debut of "Pokémon Go," but people still have some questions about how it will work.

In an interview with Venture Beat, both Niantic Lab's CEO John Hanke and chief marketing officer Mike Quigley revealed more about how the upcoming game would work.

One of the main points of discussion during the interview focused on how the sizes of different locations might factor into the kind of gameplay experiences that players might have.

According to Hanke, the size of a particular location should have no major impact on the kind of experience a player might have. Hanke revealed that both small towns and big cities will be capable of delivering enjoyable experiences for "Pokémon Go" players.

Hanke also revealed that the game is designed to encourage players to link multiple places together, thus putting more emphasis on the global nature of "Pokémon Go."

Hanke also added that there would likely be events held for "Pokémon Go" as well. Players may soon be able to take part in these events both to socialize with other fans and perhaps even trade.

There is currently no exact release date for the arrival of "Pokémon Go."

As for the other "Pokémon" game expected to come out next year, fans are also starting to get excited about the potential arrival of "Pokémon Z."

Recently, it was revealed via the December 2015 issue of the CoroCoro magazine and as reported on by MNR Daily, the game's featured Pokémon — Zygarde — would have five forms.

Zygarde's initial form would be as a cell, and after that would be the core form. With continued progress, Zygarde will then progress into its 10 percent form and then into the 50 percent form. Zygarde's last iteration is its complete form.

Rumors also suggest that "Pokémon Z" might be arriving soon, perhaps even as early as February, although this has not been confirmed.
