Location-based augmented reality game "Pokemon GO" extended the test period for its EX Raid. This means that more trainers will be getting invites and more chances to get Mewtwo.

Until now, many players are hoping they could get an EX Raid invite to get the strongest attacker, Mewtwo. According to Sliph Road, a group of "Pokemon GO" researchers, there are ways to improve the odds of getting an EX Raid Pass. Trainers need to have previously completed a normal raid at the gym. This happens in gyms located in parks and at sponsored locations. Those who go to park gyms have a 53 percent chance of getting Mewtwo.

Players should also focus on one gym instead of transferring from one gym to another. They need to get high-level gym badges in their chosen gym. Those who join many raids have more chances of getting an invite than those who seldom participate in raids. Trainers can also make it a goal to finish one raid per day.

Longtime "Pokemon GO" players are more likely to get an invite since they most probably have higher level than other players. Hence, fans need to take advantage of double XP events and lucky eggs that could help them raise their levels.

Meanwhile, those who already received an EX Raid invite are not happy with the system. There is also a very low chance that they will get another invite. This is bad news for gamers since Mewtwo is difficult to defeat. However, there is still a chance that "Pokemon GO" will change its algorithm in the future, which might give more invites to players.

Currently, trainers focus on trying to catch legendary Pokemon Ho-Oh, which was made available after the Global Catch Challenge. Players are also waiting for the game's December update, which will release Gen 3 Pokemon.
