A lot of people may think that fame of the hit augmented reality game (ARG) "Pokemon GO" is already at a decline, but it seems that its active fanbase is still large worldwide. With this, it goes without saying that Niantic is still hiding some secrets up its sleeve, and one of these is even lurking within the game right now.

According to Game N Guide, despite the fact that the Niantic CEO John Hanke refuses to divulge any more information about it, some reports suggest that it has something to do with the upcoming new Gen 2 Pokemon.

It is also possible that the most-awaited legendary Pokemon will be released in the game soon. Despite the lack of an official launch date for the new update, persistent "Pokemon GO" players have already found traces of the codes within the game as well as in the official Niantic game sites.

Furthermore, the same article says that only two out of three of the Gen 2 Starter Pokemon will make an appearance in the "Pokemon GO" game, and this will be Cyndaquil and Chikorita.

As people can remember, Cyndaquil is a fire-type Pokemon that will evolve to Quilava and eventually reach its peak form Typhlosion, while Chikorita is a grass-type Pokemon that evolves into Bayleef and Meganium. The former is known for its high speed and special attack while the latter has high attack, defense, and special defense.

Meanwhile, Niantic's Mike Quigley said that even though players have given up on the in-game Nearby feature, they never stopped telling them the features they want for it and the frustration they feel with the company blocking off third-party apps, as reported by Express UK.

Regardless, he said that there will be a lot of changes and improvements for the game and he even went so far as to say that by the end of the year, his statements will be validated with the changes made for the "Pokemon GO" app.
