"Pokémon Shuffle" might soon become playable via an Android device or an iPhone, with the game allegedly going mobile this month. The word came from Serebii, which stated via a Twitter post that the title will be out and about in smartphones and tablets in Japan before the month of August ends.

It remains to be seen if this claim is accurate. There's also no word on hand about the title's release in North America and Europe, but if the game will be available to play on handsets and tablets this month, then Nintendo will undoubtedly make things official soon.

According to iDigital Times, Nintendo's effort in bringing the title to as many devices as they can is natural to the game's free-to-play nature. Its release for Android and iOS devices will also reveal if gamers' 3DS progress can be synced with the mobile version. As per the publication, Shufflers will become more interested if syncing becomes possible. If not, then it is less likely to be downloaded by gamers who already use their handheld consoles to play the game.

Just recently, a beta version of "Pokémon Shuffle" was rolled out via Android, giving a bevy of gamers the chance to try out the game on their smartphone before it officially comes out.

In other related news, Nintendo has a summer special promo that grants players bonus jewels. The company announced it via a post on their official website.

"From July 31 – August 16, when you purchase sets of 6 Jewels or more with your Nintendo eShop funds, you will be eligible for a one-time gift of 6 additional Jewels for free. Jewels can be redeemed in the Pokémon Shuffle game for a variety of benefits:

  • Exchange for extra Coins to get items
  • Use to continue a match after turns run out
  • Obtain Hearts to keep playing"
