While trading card games (TCG) are not exactly quite popular anymore especially with more digital TCGs coming up, nothing beats having physical copies of the card. The people behind the "Pokémon" TCG knows that which is why they have recently just announced a new expansion for the game.

"Pokémon Sun and Moon – Forbidden Light" has just been revealed. There are over a whopping 130 cards to collect and play with. Those who get booster packs for the expansion can expect to get 10 cards. Among those cards, there will be at least a basic energy card and one rare card.

From the whole 130 cards, people can collect 5 new Prism Star cards, 8 Pokémon-GX, 6 Ultra Beasts, 15 Trainer Cards and 2 Special Energy cards. Those who want to try the new cards can do so by participating in pre-release tournaments. They will happen between Apr. 21 and Apr. 29, 2018. Interested competitors can do so by checking the Pokémon website.

"Building on the story of Sun & Moon—Ultra Prism, this latest expansion showcases the mysterious power of Necrozma, who has absorbed a Legendary Pokémon and taken on a luminous new form as Ultra Necrozma-GX," reads the official post. "Drawn to this new light, other Pokémon, including Lucario-GX, Greninja-GX, Zygarde-GX, Yveltal-GX, Volcanion Prism Star and Arceus Prism Star, must decide whether to welcome it or resist it."

As mentioned, Forbidden Light comes after the Ultra Prism expansion, which added a new feature to the card game. With Ultra Prism, there are now Prism Star cards that players in official tournaments can have, but for only one, in their deck. When out of the game, these Prism Star cards will be placed in the Lost Zone instead of the regular discard pile.

Forbidden Light will be coming out in less than two months by May 4, 2018.
