After five grueling years, the liars will finally know who A is in the season 6 summer finale of "Pretty Little Liars" titled "Game Over, Charles." Show creator Marlene King said that the big reveal will indeed happen in the episode, which airs on Aug. 11.

"Just watched the final playback of next week's finale. I'm still crying. And I still have goosebumps. You will see, hear and know who A is," King tweeted.

When asked if it's for real this time, she confirmed that the mystery will be solved in this episode, saying, "As the PLLs discover A's story, so will you."

In the finale, the liars continue to learn the whereabouts of Alison and as they do, they see A face-to-face. In a new preview for the upcoming installment, the girls' search brings them to a place where there's "no way out."

Although the girls will finally know who Charles really is and why he tormented them for years, the troubles for the Liars won't end there. In the next half of the season, the girls will become more grownup but the misery and sufferings A caused them will still linger.

"We made that decision so they would have a year to finish school and firmly root themselves into their desired careers, so their wardrobe and hair and makeup and styles reflect where they are professionally in their lives," King told Entertainment Weekly

She also said that the girls can finally do things without worrying that an anonymous killer is after them. However, despite the thought that they can finally breathe, A's evils sticks with them.

"They still suffer from post-traumatic stress at times," King said.

The summer finale of "Pretty Little Liars" season 6 will air on Aug. 11. According to the show creator, there are more mysteries to uncover and a lot of stories to delve into.
